Hey Everyone,
Today was a tough one 🙁 I was ouside playing and got knocked over. I fell pretty hard on my stump 🙁 I cried and my mom cried too :'( I wasnt able to go out on my nightly walk becuase I wasnt doing too well. Mom gave me a heated message and lots of love. I may have to milk my ouch a little more so I can get more of that wonderful rehab 😉
My mom is gettign ready for a bunch of people to arrive for a few days. She let me go out on the upstairs balcony for the first time. It was great !!! I got to watch everyone walk by 🙂 My mom says I will get to meet my new grandparents, great grandma, aunt, uncle and some cousins. Mom also says I have to be on my bestest behaviour – i will try but no promises 😀
Oh well tommorow’s another day. Hopefully I wont fall and can go out on my walk with my sister Shirley.
Oh. So sorry you had a bad day! I know that must have really, really hurt. I can relate to your mom crying because I did the same thing – just two days after Catie’s amputation she accidentally got pushed into the door jamb by Riley when visitors unexpectedly dropped by. Both my dogs have severe greeting disorders. Catie got crowded and pushed into the frame on her wound. Oh what an awful cry of pain she made. It still makes me shudder to remember.
It sounds like you’re going to have a busy Thanksgiving weekend.
Try not to fall any more, okay?
yikes!!! berner you need to be careful girl!! sounds exciting meeting your extended family. i’m sure they will be very impressed with your grace and bravery – they will fall in love with you right away!! try not to jump up, or be too excited, some folks get goofy over that…pictures, we need pictures!!!

We’ll never forget how Jerry ran outside the first time we finally let him out to play after his amputation… he grabbed his Frisbee and proceeded to give it a good thrashing but immediately dropped it with quite a yelp. He shook it off quickly though and learned to be more careful – until he was completely healed, he let that Frisbee have it!
It’s amazing how resilient these pups are.
